When you open this website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical access data: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page you visited, the amount of data transferred, and details about your browser and operating system. This data is technically needed to serve the page and run it securely.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a stable, secure service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep this data only briefly and do not use it for advertising.

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA, so data may be transferred to the United States. We base this transfer on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and our data processing agreement with Vercel (Art. 28, Art. 46 GDPR).

We set only one strictly necessary cookie: "NEXT_LOCALE" remembers your chosen region and language so the site shows the right version. It holds no personal profile and is not used for tracking.

Because this cookie is strictly necessary for the service you asked for, we do not need your consent for it (§25(2) TDDDG). We use no tracking or advertising cookies.

We use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia) to understand how the site is used in aggregate. Plausible does not set cookies, build user profiles, or store data that lets us identify visitors across sessions. IP addresses are truncated before storage.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a clear, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object by blocking the request in your browser, or by setting localStorage.plausible_ignore to "true" in your browser's developer tools.

The fonts on this site are served directly from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external provider, and no data is passed to third parties.

If you join the waiting list, we process your email address to let you know when OKIO launches. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We confirm sign-ups with a double opt-in, and you can unsubscribe at any time, after which the consent no longer applies going forward.

For sending and managing the waiting list we use Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany). Your data is only sent to Brevo if you sign up, under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

You have the right to access, correct, delete and restrict the processing of your data, and the right to data portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw any consent at any time, with effect for the future.

To do so, write to hello@vi-kang.com. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, usually the one where you live.

We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal requirements change. The version published here is the one that applies.
